Yayama style Qi-Gong Breathing

IMG_4147[1]Two weeks have passed since I decided to cease all my work schedule and to follow the Government’s guideline of Stay Home as I did not put any of my patients/clients at Risk  in case if I myself were asymptomatic.

Social/Physical Distancing is a really sad word. It could make us as sick as like the viruses old and new would do. However, we all know that is one of a few defence measures everyone can exercise now safely.  Even though, such feeling of uncertainty and isolation triggers our anxiety and depressive thought from time to time. Well, I feel it almost everyday and night…

A remedy I take when I sense my emotional state starts doing some trick on myself is Qi-Gong. There are so many different style of Qi-Gong. The one I have been practising is Yayama-style created and presented by a Japanese medical doctor Toshihiko Yayama.

It takes certain time and practice to become feeling Qi (energy current)  in our own body through Qi-Gong. Yayama-style Qi-Gong, however, offer a very simple but such soothing and powerful breathing routine made of 6 forms. I remember when I first came to know Yayama-Qi Gong, I just practised this simple 6 forms breathing and somehow that was enough to fill my heart and eyes with warm waterly material coloured by the word “Thank you”.

The 6 forms are:

(Forgiveness)

(Healing)

進化(Ascending)

調和(Harmony)

創造 (Creation)

You can watch and try with Dr. Yayama on YouTube.  Unfortunately it is available only in Japanese language but I am sure it is easy to follow and practice at home.

There are two sets of DVDs are available through Amazon. Again they are only in Japanese language but if interested, one of his books written in English, “Qi-Healing”  is available on AMAZON.COM.AU.
